show ‘n tell at Tiny Tiny Cozy Fest

Remember that time your grade two class had show-and-tell?

Maybe you brought your favourite rock to class and told the story of how you found it by the ocean that during the time your grandma visited and took you to Stanley Park. It was sunny and you got to see the sloth at the aquarium. Anyways. You saw this particularly special rock waiting for you on Third Beach and knew it had magical powers. You just knew. And you were right. It bestowed good luck upon you from the moment you slipped it in your pocket and brought it home. Because how else would your mom have known you wanted to eat beef and black bean sauce rice noodles for dinner that night?

Regardless if you’ve ever shared stories with your classmates about special rocks or not, I invite you to join for a special rendition of show ‘n tell.

Sunday, May 28, 2018, 1-2pm
Tiny Tiny Cozy Fest
473 Felix Jack Rd., Mayne Island

In the past, our show ‘n tell events have been used to tell stories, try out new jokes, perform clown tricks, read poetry, sing original/cover/karaoke songs, make up tunes on the spot… and way more. The possibilities go on and on in this 6-minute creative free for all! Remember, this is not an open mic, so no talent or developed skill is required.

The very first talent show ’n tell was an all-ages, bipoc-centered event in east van organized by the peach canning collaborative – April Alayon, Tiare Jung, and myself.

If you’re coming to Tiny Tiny Cozy Fest this weekend, hope you’ll consider bringing something to the festival for show ’n tell!! If you wanna sign up in advance, please email April at amvalayon[at]gmail.com with your name and what you want to share.

xx
